Flexible linear tube production system with expansion options
A new collaboration immediately resulted in a great project for a growing Dutch cosmetics company with a large range of tubes. The system processes both plastic and aluminium tubes fitted with twin stations on the inline feeding system.
A buffer secures a continuous supply of empty tubes, placing them seamlessly into the custom inserts, which are rapidly and easily interchangeable. First, a presence check is carried out. The empty tubes are then printed at the correct height, and their orientation is based on stripe detection. Next, the tubes are filled using a mechanical piston filler. When plastic tubes are used, these are preheated and subsequently capped/sealed. When working with aluminium tubes, the tubes are capped using a different station (simply select via touch panel), i.e. the folding station.
The finished tubes are subjected to a controlled discharge, and are collected horizontally on a flat discharge conveyor working to a capacity of 4000 to 5000bph. In a second phase, the current mono rail system can be extended to a dual rail system, doubling the capacity.
This tube production line was commissioned in February 2019.
Because of its huge success, two additional lines have been ordered, including automatic packaging machines. These will be installed in March 2020.
The range of tube production machines starts with compact rotating systems with a capacity of up to 2000bph, up to fully automatic tube filling and packaging systems with a capacity of up to 24.000bph.
Machine line consists of:
- 1 x MTL100 linear tube filling system in 2019
- 2 x MTL100 linear tube filling system in 2020
- 2 x AA100 linear tube packaging machines in 2020.
